Amina Michele began her career in corporate and charity event planning in 2002. She fell in love with weddings two years later and since has built one of the most sought after wedding planning companies in the West. Some Like It Classic - Wedding & Event Design was founded in 2006, and in only its first year of business was awarded a total of 4 different industry awards, and since has quadrupled that number and been featured in every major wedding publication and blog. With her strong love for the classics, she tailored her company to deliver the most classic and timeless weddings in the industry.

Why do you love weddings and events? I love creating, designing and I especially love seeing my client's face when she first walks into her wedding reception and sees everything we planned come to life; that is a proud moment for me always.

What is your favorite dessert? I only do weddings for the wedding cake - kidding. However, I wouldn't turn you down if you wanted someone to go to your cake tasting with you.

What inspires your creativity? Art, books, magazines, jewelry. I try to visualize everything I see and turn it into an event idea.

Do you collect anything? Yes... shoes. Every girl should own fabulous shoes.

What is your favorite activity? Writing for www.aminamichele.com and sharing new information I learn everyday with our clients - we aren't just a wedding planning blog, we are a lifestyle website that is fun and trendsetting just like our clients.

How would your friends describe you? A work-a-holic - I slave for my clients and LOVE IT, classy to a "T" - always keep it lady-like, easy to get along with and very calm... it's rare to see me flustered. I have also heard a few times I know how to throw a fun dinner party. Rule #1 - everyone goes home with a party favor - like a mini jar full of the spices I used in your main course.
